Residential language lessons in Brussels

The English Academy offers intensive residential language courses with skilled, experienced tutors, all native speakers. These individual lessons are given from Monday to Friday from 9 am to 6 pm.
This is an ideal solution if you want to make maximum progress in just one or two weeks.
Whether for business or personal purposes, we offer you a language training programme that is specially tailored for this kind of full immersion learning. You will work with two different teachers who coordinate activities and make them as varied and interesting as possible to keep your attention focused throughout the whole week.
These private residential lessons take place at our language school in Brussels, where - being the most multilingual city in the world - the most experienced language instructors are based. As a truly international city, it is the ideal setting for serious language training. We are situated near the European Parliament and the other international organisations, that are also long-term clients of our language school.

We are specialized in English.
Unlike residential language courses in England or the USA, catering mainly for teenage students and combining half-day lessons with sports or other leisure activities, we offer a full-immersion training programme built around your individual needs and requirements.
Intensive classes in Dutch, French and other languages are of course also available.

P.S.: On Monday, lessons can start at 10:30 and finish at 17:30, allowing for travel time to Brussels on that day.

You will stay in a good standard hotel within walking distance of our language school, called Hotel Derby (see picture above)
Your stay will include breakfast, as well as lunch with your teacher at a local restaurant.

How to get there?
From Brussels Central Station: there is a direct metro line (line 1) to the stop ‘Merode’.
Hotel Derby is right next to the metro. You can walk to the school in 8 minutes.
To get to the school from the metro station, walk down ‘Avenue des Celtes’ until you reach Place St.-Pierre. Rue Louis Hap is the second street on the right along from Place St.-Pierre.

From Brussels South Station / Gare de Midi (terminus Thalys): take metro line 2 to ‘Arts-Loi’, switch to metro line 1 and get off at metro station ‘Merode’.
To get to the school from the metro station, walk down ‘Avenue des Celtes’ until you reach Place St.-Pierre. Rue Louis Hap is the second street on the right along from Place St.-Pierre.

From Brussels National Airport in Zaventem: a taxi will get you here in 15 minutes, but there is also a direct train to ‘Schuman Station’. There you walk down ‘Avenue d’Auderghem’ until you reach ‘Rue Louis Hap’ on your left hand side.

Residential language lessons abroad

If you prefer going to another country to learn a language, please check the numerous possibilities of our partner.

The English Academy has established a close collaboration with a language school in England, specialised in residential language lessons in the Summer for young people between 11 and 17 years old. These English summer camps start the last week of June until the end of July.
We have choosen them as our partner school because, just like us, they apply the highest quality standards: the didactical project, the activities and the safety of the teenagers are well taken care of.
The courses are taught by experienced British native speakers, the excursion and activity package is very attractive and the children stay in a beautiflul, gated park, always under the surveillance of their monitors.

You can opt for a stay in London, in Stratford-Upon-Avon or at the coast in Dorset.

One of the managers resides in Brussels. This gives you the possibility of fixing an appointment with him to discuss the options and the details of these Summer intensives.
